MY REVIEW
Harvey Nolan
was a Professor at Columbia University’s Department of Criminology. When FBI
agents pay him a visit, he discovers that his friend Christina is missing.
Harvey starts trying to find Christina on his own, but the kidnapper catches
wind of it. Wanting to throw Harvey off the trail, he plants evidence for the
FBI to find, making Harvey look guilty. But with the help of a female agent
friend of his, and a mysterious mask wearing vigilante, Harvey won’t be
deterred from finding his friend.
The premise of
a criminology professor becoming a crime solving sleuth makes for a great read.
Although the crime solving was interesting, I felt like it was a bit rushed,
and even sporadic at times. The plot was good, the characters interesting, but
it just didn’t pull together as smoothly as it should, or could have. I will
read more of this series though, as I liked the characters and feel that
there’s more stories ahead for them.
